The application deadline
for the 2012 Competition is February 18, 2012
Instructions to Applicants
This year, we have moved to a fully electronic application process. Please complete the following items by February 18, 2012.
1. Complete and submit the online application form
2. Submit your non-refundable application fee of $50
3. Upload Preliminary video submissions through TrueMuze. It's easy!
a) Access TrueMuze by clicking here. TrueMuze is a Facebook application that makes it easy to enter your performance videos in our Preliminary competition. You'll need a Facebook account and a YouTube/Gmail account. If you don't have a Facebook or YouTube/ Gmail account, you will be asked to sign up. Children may have their videos submitted through a parent's account.
b) Upload your videos. Click the "Upload Your Video" button and follow the instructions. You will be asked to sign into your YouTube/Gmail account, and to authorize TrueMuze to access your YouTube account securely. Each piece you're submitting must be uploaded separately (for example, if you are applying for a Piano competition, you will upload four separate videos). Video files can be large, so it may take several minutes for your upload to complete.
c) Add details to your videos. Following each upload, provide as much detail as you can about your video. If the video was uploaded by someone other than the artist (such as a parent), be sure to enter the Artist's name in the Artist field.
d) Enter the competition. After all your Preliminary videos have been uploaded, click the Competitions tab at the top. Search for "Pacific Musical Society" and locate the competition you are entering. Click "Enter This Competition" and select the videos you are entering.
